The triathlon finishes at the Calhoun Center football field, where athletes can cool off with ice cold water, fresh fruit and other snacks and catch their breath. We expect the race to be completed by 10 a.m. Enjoy some creative activities – decorating a ceramic tile to be featured in the Children’s Museum someday, building a replica of the future museum out of Legos, and playing on an inflatable bungee run.
Our youngest athletes can participate in the Tot Trot (sponsored by Kresge Platt & Abare) at 10 a.m. Kids ages 4-5 can run in the 100-yard version while the littlest racers can take on the 50-yarder. All participants receive a ribbon and tee shirt. Pre-registration is not required for this free event, although donations are always welcome. We do ask you sign a waiver so be sure to check in at the “registration” booth on the football field before heading to the “course.”
We’re very excited that Jumperama will be out with their Bungee Run – kids and adults alike can see how far they can run before the bungee pulls them backward.
